What was once considered a deserted
landscape, thought to be uninhabitable is now home to 1,660 residents. Dolls
Point takes its name from the geographical formation on Botany Bay. Legend has
it, that an escaped convict hid in the deserted landscape to hide from
authorities.
The beach between Cooks River
and Georges River was formerly named Seven Mile
Beach , but in 1874 it was
changed to Lady Robinsons Beach to
honour the Governor’s wife.
Dolls Point today is a beautiful
residential suburb with quiet streets and an uncluttered landscape. The suburb
has a very neighborly atmosphere due to its village feel. Dolls Point is not
only just these, but it also has nice waters for sailing, scenic water views
and abundant parklands throughout.
